Dargah Aaliyah Mujaddidiya Pir Sarhandi is the first khanqah (Sufi lodge) established in Sindh by the Sarhandi family.
The founder of this khanqah arrived in Sindh about two centuries ago. The spiritual lineage continued through Qutb ur-Rahman Khwaja Shah Abdul Rahim, known as Hazrat Agha Sahib Farooqi Sarhandi Mujaddidi, then his successor and son Ghous ur-Rahman Khwaja Abdul Haleem, followed by his son, a prominent figure in the subcontinent, Pir Aqa Ghulam Mujaddid Sarhandi, a close companion of Quaid-e-Azam, a hero of the Khilafat Movement and Pakistan Movement, and a spiritual guide.
Then came his son, the compassionate Sufi Shah Ghulam Rasool Farooqi Sarhandi, and now my respected father, Pir Ghulam Mujaddid Farooqi Sarhandi, is the current Sajjada Nashin (spiritual leader) of this khanqah.
